About Tyler Clites

Tyler Clites is best known as the winner of the premier season of FOX’s LEGO Masters, though he has been a noteworthy name in the LEGO community for over a decade.

Tyler’s LEGO creations have been featured in many diverse locations from LEGOLAND New York to the LEGO House in Billund, Denmark, the home of LEGO.

Tyler fell in love with the endless creative possibilities of LEGO as a child. As a young adult, Tyler quickly started making a name for himself in the online LEGO community and won many awards and distinctions including the Iron Builder Award in 2011, Best of Class awards at national conventions such as Brickworld and BrickCon, and special recognition from LEGO for his LEGO Ideas design of Disney’s Stitch, which received over 10,000 supporters.

Tyler’s ability to create highly expressive characters as well as strong technical builds soon turned a beloved hobby into a career. Tyler has held positions as Creative Director for companies such as Build Better Bricks and Brick Loot before founding his private design firm, TC Brick Designs. Tyler primarily works with corporate clients providing virtual and in-person events, designing custom kits, and creating large-scale art sculptures. Tyler has worked with companies such as Google, Dell, DHL, Adobe, and Splunk.

In 2020, Tyler won the premier season of FOX’s LEGO Masters, and took the prestigious honor of being named the first ever USA LEGO Master, along with his teammate and wife, Amy Clites.

Tyler has been the featured guest on numerous shows and new outlets including Live with Kelly and Ryan, FOX news, People, WORLD, The Herald Tribune, Geek Tyrant, Geek Dad, PCMag, Attractions Magazine, TV Insider, Mashable, Brick Fanatics, and Brothers Brick.

Tyler’s artwork has been featured in various books and publications such as The Art of LEGO Design, Beautiful LEGO, Beautiful LEGO 2: Dark, Steampunk LEGO, and The LEGO Adventure Book.

In his local area, Tyler has been involved with local FIRST LEGO League events, inspiring the next generation through hands-on STEM learning and LEGO. He currently resides in the world-renowned art community of Sarasota, Florida, with his wife and two children.
